It was 50 degrees and drizzling off and on this morning.  Very Humid.  I ran over to Barry's house and we ran the 4.1 miles down to the race start.  I decided a couple days ago that I wanted to run this 10K with Kory so I found him at the start.

We started out nice and slow and picked up the pace a bit every mile.  Once Kory got warmed-up his form went from an uneven stride favoring his leg to his old, smooth stride.  By the time we were running up 2nd Ave on the last mile and a half he was looking great.....and pulling away from me!  Our splits were 7:45, 7:38, 7:20, 7:23 (uphill), 6:41, and 6:43.  He beat me by 10 seconds over the last .7 miles and was looking good doing it.  I could tell he was enjoying it as well and that was awesome.  It is good to see him run again.

We talked to a few people for a few minutes and got a drink and then I ran 3 miles with him back to his car.  Then I ran the rest of the way home with an extra loop just so I could break 100 again this week.
