Utah Valley Marathon. I used this race as a measuring stick to see where I am and to adjust my training for my fall marathons. I figured I was in 3:40 shape and my 3:38 finish pretty much confirmed that.
I struggled on the uphills in miles 8-9 and 16-17, especially the second set with the strong, hot headwind we had for a few miles. It felt like running in to a huge blowdryer. I ran the last 5 miles with Bret Zundel, who I haven't seen since 2008...that was awesome!
