New PR 2:53:24 (2008 Tucson)

Finished 2nd Overall in 2005 Utah Grand Slam to Paul Peterson.  He beat me by 30 min in every race.

1/2 Marathon PR 1:23:56 (2008 Just Cuz Half Marathon)

Completed the Utah Grand Slam 10 consecutive years (2003-2012).  I don't know if anyone else has done that.

Short-Term Running Goals:

2018 Goals:

Just get back in shape after slacking hard in 2017.

I do half my running in Idaho and half in Utah due to my work.

Maybe run another marathon later in the year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a Marathon once in a while....but I am not in that competitive mode anymore.

Personal:

I'm in the 50-54 Age Group.....Yikes!

I have been married for over 30 years.  We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

Ran with a bigger group today...but not as far.  I ran with Troy, Justin, Amanda, and Lowell (who was actually back in town for a visit!).  We ran the Marathon route to the store in Inkom.  Total 15.07 miles

I am staying in a hotel right next to the Pike Place Market in Seattle.  I ran North on the Elliot Bay Trail to Smith Cove Park and back.  Beautiful morning, low 60's with a breeze along the water.  7.06 miles.

I picked up Troy at 5:45am, and it was still warm outside.  It was also very humid.  The cloud cover held the entire run but the humidity kept us pretty wet the entire way.  We ran the marathon route all the way to Century.  20.70 miles.

I took most of this week off from running because I woke up last Sunday with what feels like the beginnings of Plantar Faciitis.  I have had it twice before, so I know the warning signs.  That being said, we did an easier run today....and no big downhills.

I met Troy at his house at 6:00am and we just ran a big loop from there.  11.08 easy miles and so far, the foot feels OK.  Tomorrow morning will be the moment of truth.
